Basic Course
Build the vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, and testing foundations required for later SAT improvement.
Who this course is for
The Basic Course is intended for students who are new to SAT preparation or whose foundational English knowledge makes timed SAT work difficult. Placement is based on current performance rather than grade alone.
What students develop
- Core vocabulary and vocabulary-in-context strategies
- Sentence structure, punctuation, usage, and grammar foundations
- Accurate reading of short academic passages
- Recognition of question types and common reasoning patterns
- Basic pacing, annotation, and answer-elimination habits
Course purpose
The goal is not simply to memorize isolated rules. Students build an organized knowledge framework, learn how a rule appears in an SAT question, and develop enough accuracy and confidence to progress into more intensive work.
